What About Me?

My photo
I'm a writer. End of story. Actually, the beginning, but close enough. I discovered my talent around the age of 12 though I did not fully put it to the test until my sophmore year of high school. It was an English teacher who recognized my talents and help me push to be better. I took a poetry class in college that opened my eyes up to the world of poetry. I learned many forms, as well as exercised them. August 13, 2007: a day that has changed me forever. You see, I lost my best friend that day; 14 years gone and all I'm left with is memories. With that being said, my writing went MIA for three years, and now, it's SO much different then what it used to be. Take it or leave it; you need my words in your life.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos

So Peyton Manning will be putting on a Denver Broncos jersey, eh? A 35 year old quarterback recovering from a (third) neck surgery, signed for a five year contract at $95 million dollars. What are the chances that he hurts himself again this season? What if they let Tebow go

Don't get me wrong, I like Manning. Four-time NFL MVP, 12 years with the Colts, 10 playoffs appearances, two AFC championships, a superbowl, not to mention he was a starting quarteback for every game. He has passed for 4000+ yards 11 times in 13 seasons. His career yards are more than 54,700. He has been sacked over 200 times and 50 plus fumbles in his 12 year career. Manning is a legacy; a future hall of famer. His QB rating is somewhere around 95%. He'll be amongst my favorite quarterback and Denver Broncos Executive Vice President John Elway. Manning has outstanding leadership, a great arm, and there is no doubt in my mind that he can make the Broncos Super Bowl contenders--he just needs to stay healthy. Sure. We have left tackle Ryan Clady to back up the blind side. We have some great young receivers like Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas. As long as Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno stay good, our running backs are set. Yet, none of this matters unless Peyton stays healthy as well.

As for my thoughts on Tim Tebow-- I think Denver should keep him. The kid could learn a lot from Manning. That's a big advantage, especially if Manning does indeed gets hurt. Tim doesn't really need a giant contract, but he should be given another chance-- he didn't do too bad for us last season. Tim needs to throw the ball more. This is the NFL. The Big Boys Game. The run isn't always going to work. I also would like to see Tebow play a different position like Tight End or Running Back. I'm sure he'd do just ok even as a Wide Receiver.

Leadership does two things; makes things great or tears things down. Teamwork out does all.

My best interest is in the Denver Broncos. I have been a fan for all 24.5 years of my life, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. So here's to a healthy season for Peyton Manning. Here's to keeping Tim Tebow and shifting him around. Really, here's to the Denver Broncos and a winning season.
